Cinderella so wishes she had one of these…

Honestly, anyone else think this is kinda nuts?

If you’re sitting in your home office and your daughter strolls in pushing this thing, does it mean you’re working too late?

This definitely falls in the non-aspirational toy category…but it’s not as bad as this.

You know – first time to actually comment! This is insane. I’m not offended at all – and I’d actually be stoked if my kid used it. Toys are toys. That pole dancing doll on the other hand? How would a kid even know wtf that was for? At least the cleaning cart is something familiar. Maybe :p

So wrong in so many ways and bordering on racist. Who cleans The majority of offices, hotel/motel rooms from what you’ve personally observed? It perpetuates the cycle. It’s known that influecial parents often determine many work career choices Made by the kids. Instead of encoraging children to accept menial job choices they should be exposed to other avenues. I recently saw a mother in a landscaping truck with car seats for 3 kids (one in a baby walker) watching on a sidewalk as mom mowed and edged a lawn. This toy just plants the seed deeper.

I don’t think it’s absurdly offensive, I just think it’s an odd toy to develop and sell and even stranger to purchase. I get buying the child a toy vacuum or a dustpan. I think knowing how to clean is an important skill, and I have nothing but 100% respect for those who clean as a profession. I just think this is not a profession that people aspire to…My husband’s grandmother cleaned offices at GM for a living. She did it to provide her children and her grandchildren a better life. I don’t think she would be thrilled to see her great-granddaughter playing with something like this.

I’m not all that offended, actually, but I get that some might be. Perhaps I’m not beacuse my son LOVES to clean, he literally throws a tantrum if I won’t whip out the vacuum for him. He has a mini vacuum, a mini broom and dust pan and a mini duster. If this weren’t pink (my husband would see that as going a little too far) I would consider buying this for my son, at least then it would all be stored neatly.

Who comes up with these toys? I’m not offended but this is definitely not a toy that Santa will be bringing. The other toy is just absolutely insane!
