I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to write a really good HMWW first post of 2009. Do I pontificate about the uselessness of New Year’s Resolutions? Should I list links to websites and products that help us lose weight, organize, better manage our time (you know, for all of those useless resolutions)? Should I go into further detail about my son’s stomach flu and the 30-step process for removing vomit from carpet, walls and bed linens? Or, do I post a crazy-funny video of Will Ferrell getting yelled at by his “landlord” and just provide some comic relief to kick off the new year? Lucky for all of us, I landed on posting the Funny or Die video. This came out awhile ago, but if you haven’t seen it you need to and if you have seen it you know you want to watch it again. I heart Will Ferrell. Enjoy. Here’s to a 2009 full of laughs! (Being more optimistic is one of my useless resolutions, can you tell?)

Pearl has since gone into “retirement”. I think she was getting to an age where she could spout off that stuff without being prompted.
