The world as we know it has changed, and it all really came down in the past couple of months. One sign of the times is the deep and aggressive discounts retailers are currently offering. I’m getting 25% off coupons left and right. And, lately I’ve heard – from multiple sources – that you can NEGOTIATE CHEAPER PRICES AT RETAIL. Not Mom and Pop retail, I’m talkin’ Nordstrom and Banana Republic retail. And I don’t mean a measely 10% off either. Someone I know had a coupon from Banana Republic for 25% off. Upon going to the counter, she managed to secure an ADDITIONAL 30% percent off for a grand total of 55% off. Same shopping trip, this person went to Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly Sale, where things are already marked down 40%, and proceeded to receive another 30% off…70% off designer clothing at Nordie’s, Ladies! Upon hearing this I am itching like a dog with fleas to get to the mall. I love a good bargain and it seems if you’re willing to ask, you just may get a real deal. Worst they can say is “no”, right?
