Hip Moms Who Work

Now, after reading my posts on plastics you may think I am somewhat of an alarmist. But, I’m really not. I’m actually far less, ok, maybe slight less neurotic than I come across on this blog. However, it could easily be said that I do approach everything with a certain level of skepticism.  For instance, I’ve always looked at the ingredient listings on shampoos and household cleaners and have wondered,  ”What the hell is this shit made of?  It probably has some harmful chemicals in it that will make us all grow a third nipple.” A Professor at the University of California-Berkeley had a similar thought while slathering sunscreen on his young daughter (although I doubt he was thinking about third nipples, but then again I don’t know the guy…) and upon researching it, found out the product contained a toxic chemical.  So he pulled together a large team of fellow braniacs from various disciplines and backgrounds and started researching and rating products based on the following criteria:

• Health Performance
• Environmental Performance
• Social Performance
