Since the stock market went to hell this week, I decided to show you something totally cute and inexpensive and, therefore, completely justifiable.
I was at Target yesterday (yes, I know, big freakin’ surprise) and I saw this really cute little wool jacket. It comes in all sorts of colors but, honestly, it looked cheap in any color other than black or the adorable black and white plaid with a little yellow in it. I don’t think this photo does it justice. It’s got a great collar and cute tulip sleeves and is quite fitted…and it’s only $44.99. And – this is really bizarre – if you wear an XS it only costs $39.99. I guess the miniature version requires less fabric???
Just because our 401K’s, our IRA’s and our 529′s are S.O.L. does not mean our sense of style needs to pay the price. If we’re all headed to the poor house, let’s at least go there well-dressed.
